Charlyn Emmanuel, MD, is a pediatrician in Coconut Creek, FL, where many mental health clinicians do not accept Medicaid or insurance, leaving underserved families to compete for limited public services. PPP training will allow her to provide more comprehensive mental health care within the trusted primary care setting. She serves an open, diverse community and has made a concerted effort to improve her Spanish so she can communicate more effectively with the many Spanish-speaking families in her practice.
