Jessica Blanding Hooper, MD, is a pediatrician preparing to open a practice in a rural Louisiana community where most patients are on Medicaid and timely mental health services are difficult to access. The PPP program will strengthen her skills in assessment and pharmacotherapy, allowing her to provide more appropriate care and potentially create a referral pipeline for other pediatricians in the area. She is committed to serving families who have historically lacked access to high-quality healthcare and approaches every patient with the same care and respect she would want for her own family.
