Transform Lives in Your Community, State, or Region through Effective Mental Health Training
Do you want to empower the primary care providers (PCPs) in your community to improve children’s mental health care and change lives? REACH welcomes new partners to join us in our mission to enhance the nation’s capacity to address child mental health through transformative training for healthcare providers.
As the need for mental health services rises nationwide, many systems are overwhelmed, leaving clinicians frustrated and children waiting too long for care. REACH believes every child, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves access to early and effective mental health care. Our Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care (PPP) program empowers PCPs to deliver high-quality care for common mental health conditions within the unique setting of primary care, leading to more responsive systems and healthier children.
To make essential training for PCPs widely available, REACH works with mission-aligned organizations to become licensed REACH Training Partners that implement the PPP program in their area. As a REACH Training Partner, your organization can equip PCPs with essential mental health skills and make care more accessible so that more children receive high-quality support from a trusted clinician in their community.
What is a REACH Training Partner?
An institution, organization, or health system that is licensed by REACH to deliver the PPP program to PCPs in a defined geographic area. REACH currently has four Training Partners:
- Virginia Mental Health Access Program (VMAP)
- University of Saskatchewan
- CanREACH
- North Carolina Psychiatry Access Line (NC-PAL)

REACH regularly updates PPP units and content, ensuring PCPs hone their skills in the most effective, evidence-based mental health care available.
After seeing the benefits of the PPP, we knew we needed to make it available for all providers, both present and future, that we serve.
With that goal in mind, we worked with REACH to become licensed to deliver the PPP continuously and sustainably in the state of Virginia. The REACH Institute proved to be an amazing partner to help us develop our own faculty talent and teaching. We have been delivering training, both online and in-person, as a licensed site since 2021.
Because of REACH, over 1 million! (and counting) kids and teens across the state have access to a trusted provider in their community who can provide effective, timely mental health care.
