Disruptive behavior is one of the most common and challenging concerns families bring to primary care — and one of the areas where clinicians often feel least equipped. This course gives you practical, evidence-based behavior management strategies you can implement in a busy practice, so you can offer families something concrete and effective at the point of care.
Faculty include both a mental health professional and a pediatric primary care clinician, grounding every session in clinical evidence and real-world application.
Like all REACH training, this course is built on adult learning science. It has two components:
- A full-day interactive workshop focused on building knowledge, skills, and confidence in assessing and addressing disruptive behavior disorders.
- Four follow-up case-based group calls — one hour each — where you present cases from your own practice, get expert feedback, and reinforce your learning over time.
Participants can earn up to 11.25 CME credits for both components.

This course is built for pediatric primary care clinicians — pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants — who need practical, evidence-based behavior management strategies to offer families at the point of care.
No prior behavior management training is required. The course builds skills and confidence from the ground up, with faculty from both mental health and primary care backgrounds supporting clinicians at all experience levels.
You’ll be able to assess disruptive behavior disorders – such as oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and conduct disorder – using standardized measures, implement practical behavior management strategies in a busy practice, support both children and their parents, and know when and where to refer.
The course has two components: a full-day interactive workshop on assessing and addressing disruptive behavior disorders, followed by four one-hour case-based group calls where you present cases and receive expert coaching.

The PPP is a comprehensive 3-day program covering the full range of pediatric mental health conditions. This course goes deep on one area — disruptive behavior disorders specifically — in a single focused day.
Cancellations made 20 or more days before the course receive a 90% refund. Refunds decrease on a sliding scale closer to the course date. Transfers to another session are available within 12 months of registration
