Disruptive Behavior Disorders (DBDs) — including Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Conduct Disorder (CD) — are among the most common reasons children and adolescents are referred to mental health specialists. Left undertreated, they lead to academic struggles, family stress, and long-term mental health challenges.
This course equips mental health clinicians with structured, evidence-based approaches to identifying, diagnosing, and treating DBDs in young people. You’ll learn to help children build self-regulation, problem-solving, and social competence skills — and to coach parents and caregivers with practical strategies that strengthen family dynamics and support lasting change.
All participants receive a structured treatment manual with session-by-session guidelines and reproducible client handouts.
This training has two components:
- A full-day interactive workshop where you’ll learn the latest evidence-based behavioral interventions for DBDs and how to coach parents and caregivers to implement them effectively.
- Six case-based learning calls over three months — where you present real client cases, apply course learning, and receive coaching and feedback from peers and REACH’s national expert faculty.
Participants who complete both components receive a certificate of completion.
