Nuriva Kamran, DO, is a pediatric resident in Baton Rouge, LA, where most patients are on Medicaid. As a first-generation, bilingual Bangladeshi American, she aspires to provide thoughtful, patient-centered, and inclusive healthcare to diverse and underserved patients. She aims to share what she learns at REACH with other pediatric providers in her hospital and community through one-to-one outreach, small group meetings, lectures, social media, and creating culturally sensitive materials.
