Deisy Rodriguez Olvera, NP, is a nurse practitioner at a school-based clinic in Silvis, IL, serving many Medicaid-insured and uninsured children and adolescents. The PPP will help her provide timely care and reduce reliance on emergency departments for acute mental health needs. She strives to make care equitable by meeting students where they are, adapting communication to families’ needs, and providing close follow-up within the school setting.
