Finnian Steele, DO, is a Navy veteran and pediatrician in Fresno, CA, where they are the only general pediatrician providing supportive care for transgender and gender-diverse children and youth. With REACH training, they aim to educate providers in sibling clinics to increase children’s mental health care access throughout the community. They are also working to start a dedicated gender clinic that will provide mental health care as a part of a holistic approach to gender-affirming care for children and teens.
